Using the caller ID fix is how you get the error code the poster listed - and it doesn't fix the problem (it says to call VZ with the error code).
Best suggestion is to use the Verizon DIrect forum over at DSLReports.com to try to resolve (all communications are only viewable by you and the forum so you can give details that are required).
