Cancelling a schedule series still shows as wanting to record

It would be so comical how bad the fios system works in regards to the DVR selection of shows if it wasn't so frustrating. Trying to record a series so I select such series and get it schedule with option of new shows without repeats. Then I see that missed the first episode but that first episode is playing in the morning so I go and try and set that episode to record in the morning only the guide shows it is already set to record. I look at my schedule to record list and it is not there. I try to cancel the recording from the guide and it does nothing. I cancel the whole series and it still shows that it is scheduled to record. Try cancelling again and it still does nothing. Makes we want to go to comcast or AT&T. Heck DISH would be better

The series will not record it because it is now a repeat. modify series to do repeat until show is recorded.

Oh I got it corrected but what you said I could do because one issue was I cancelled the series when back to the guide and it still showed as scheduled even though it was not in the scheduled list. I had to unplug the box and restart it.
