Digital Adapter

I just bought the digital adapter and I am attempting to hook it up in a bedroom. The adapter has no lights on it and the tv is just a blue screen. I called about two hours ago to "activate it" and still nothing. I am still on the hold with tech support and am beginning to get very frustrated and a little irate. Any help would be appreciated. And yes the box is plugged in. There is power in the outlet because the lights come on when i first plug it in (and every time i un plug and re plug) and it is hooked up properly to the tv. Thanks!

I see this happen with a lot of dct 700s. Here are a few things to check.
1. Box plugged in (checked)
2. Coax from wall -> Rf In or Fios tv in.
3. Coax from to tv VCR screwed into television OR red white and yellow?
4.It's good to call an make sure the code activation went through
Now if those are good then good!
If you are screwing in a cable from box to tv, make sure the tv input is set to channel 3 on the "tv or cable" input. If you are using red white and yellow, check av1, av2, video1, video2, or maybe it says composite. If all is well based on your set up and still nothing. Try different cables between the box and tv. It's highly likely if it isn't coming on within an hour of activation that it is still doing so. Try unplugging and replugging. Still nothing then like I said a new box may be in order.

My DCT700 has an orange "on" light on the far left.
