FiOS Installation

Question

I'm having FiOS installed, and I have concrete surrounding my house. Exactly how will they "burrow" underneath the concrete? And do we have to mark everything underground for the installers, or just the stuff we added, like irrigation systems? The website says they will contact local utilities and locate their services, but I'm not sure. What did you do?

Verizon hung notices on everyone's door that stated crews were going to be digging up everyone's yard to lay down fiber-optic cables.  They requested everyone mark their sprinkler systems.  I posted flags on each sprinkler head (can get these at local hardware store).  Your local utility company will also come in and mark your yard for underground utilities.  In my neighborhood, a crew eventually came out and ran fiber optic cable throughout our neighborhood.  They ran cable under everyone's driveway, but in your case, I'm sure they have other techniques to run the cable under concrete.  They installed a junction box in each yard.  When I finally ordered Fios, another crew came out and ran cable from the junction box up to the side of my house.  This is the cable that was plugged into the ONT by the Fios technician.  That's pretty much it.
