Fios TV Picture Quality

Question

We just got our Fios TV One service, replacing our 10-year-old Motorola boxes. Right away, I could tell the picture quality on the new boxes was inferior to what we had before. Graphics aren't crisp and clear, motion causes the image to blur a bit, and there are noticeable artifacts all over. SD channels now get so pixelated they're almost unwatchable.

Not sure what the solution is at this point.

Not sure what the solution is at this point.

First are you using an HDMI connection to your TV?  Is it a 4K capable TV? Are you using a High-Speed Certified cable between the box and the TV if it IS a 4K TV?  Go here and see what the setting is:

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings>Video Format. If you have a 4K TV it should be set to 2160P.

Also look here:

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings>TV Type.

It should be set to 16x9 if you have a modern TV

Also HDR should be DISABLED unless you are watching an HDR program

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings>HDR Settings

Graphics Settings should be set to HD

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings>Graphics settings

Also check the input you are using on your TV has High color or Wide color enabled for the HDMI input you are using.
