Could have swore I posted this earlier but its not there. Anyways there is a flashing green light on my main FIOS One box. Started a day ago when they were rerunning a fios line in my back yard. Any idea what this means?
I had the same thing for 3 days. A user on another forum provided a solution that works. Unplug your router and then unplug the box for at least 30 seconds. When the router is back online, plug your fios one box back in. Apparently the green flash means there is a software update that can't go through. After you reset, you should be all set.
I tried this solution. Blight continues blinking after reset. Do not see menu option to download a software update. Light has been blinking for 2 weeks.
Try doing the above again, this time also remove coax from box. After router is done rebooting, power up the box, then reattach the coax. Might work now.
Unplugged set top box and detached cable. Green light still blinking!
Remove coax and power from Fios box. Reboot router, I assume you are using fios quantum router, reconnect fios box power and cable. Box should update.
Was just on hold with verizon for over an hour before I got someone on the line. Was told this flashing green light is normal and told me i could dim it if it was anoying. I guess this must be a new FIOS feature since i never had before yesterday. Verizon is making the decision to switch to Altice an easy choice.
I have the same issue. It appears the system is trying to install a new update that allows you to see the last few channels viewed when hitting the Back button. I have three FiOS One minis, and the install has happened on all of them with no issues. On the main box, however, no installation has taken place, and the light keeps flashing green. I have tried the solution posted in this forum with no luck.
I was also told it's normal. Can't stop staring at it. Covering it with electrical tape.
I had the same problem worked with fios the Green should not flash. Support rebooted my box remotely and reprogrammed it as if it was a new install. I only had to resync my remotes. All is good
This suggestion also worked for the Fios Mini
Tried everything above, no help, still flashing green. So before calling Verizon and possibly waiting on hold for an hour, I hit menu on remote and went to customer support, scroll to top support tools over to reboot fios TV one and in about one minute issue of blinking green light fixed.
Have the same issue. Tried everything and spoke with a fios rep. Said there is nothing he can do from his end. Said it was a connection issue with the router and that there are no updates.
Go into menu, customer support, my connected devices and look at the map. Do both your boxes show a good connection? If so, try powering down the box. Remove coax or ethernet , power off router, wait 2 minutes. Power router back on, wait for it to reconnect to web, power box back on, reconnect coax or ethernet. Hopefully flashing green light will go away.
I have been having problems with one of my fios one mini box. There is a flashing green light that has been going on for days and I notice the picture freezes and slows down picture when changing channels. It used to run smoothly with one white light and one green light. I tried rebooting the box multiple times, but it starts with one white light and one gren light like before then after a few minutes the white light will blink green again.
Is the mini being run wireless, or coax or ethernet wire? If wireless you may not be getting a good enough signal. Did you try rebooting your router too? Did you try going into the main box menu, removing the mini, then adding it back in?
This worked. Thx
Yep - worked....but about 2 minutes later, the light started blinking again. 🤔 😢

Ok, so for some reason your box is not accepting the update that is being pushed. Hopefully you are using the Fios Quantum Gateway as primary router because it has to be to get updates. My only suggestion now is to call Fios support and ask them to push the update to your box. Dont settle for a "we cant do that" excuse , they can as others here have reoprted.
I went into the menu on the main box and removed the affected mini as you suggested. Added the affected mini back and the green flashing light is gone. Thank you so much. I spent weeks rebooting and disconnecting my router and mini with no success. Your fix stopped that annoying green flashing light. Thanks again.
I thought that worked but the darn flashing green light came back on after 10 minutes. However, I did find the solution. I went into the affected TV One Mini menu to; customer support>internet >reset your router and that fixed the problem. No more blinking left green light on my TV one mini. Only took me 2 weeks to figure that out 🤪
I am having the same problem for the last four days and there is no information on Verizon FiOS Site or did the on-line chat address the issue. I’ve reset the box and router (per suggestions) and it still persists.
normally everything normal is a steady white light. It is steady white on the 4 other boxes. Only the primary has the issue.

The flashing green light means there is an update that needs to be downloaded, or is partially downloaded. Sometimes powercycling the router will force the box to re-try the download and clear the box. If that doesn't work, and you tried powercycling the box too, contact support on one of the options in the post above to have them push the update through.
