I have a problem with our main DVR receiver, without control or notice the device will reset and happens a few times an hour. This has become a nuisance and takes a few minutes to reset each time
This is a symptom of the box overheating. It will reboot itself to cooldown. Please make sure there is at least 3 inches clearance on the top and sides of the DVR box and that nothing is blocking the air holes. If you are still having these reboot problems, please reply back so we can get more information.
Having the same issue. Just started on 9/6. QIP6200. Not overheating. Any other suggestions?
I too am having this problem. Watching TV seems to be fine, although some channels are getting square boxes popping up here and there.Main problem is watching the Multi Room DVR from another of my regular boxes. They show the recorded program for about 30 seconds, then they shut sown as the front window shows the message "dEc". What's that all about. It happens on all my remote boxes, too. I have 3. You have to start the remote box up again, you get a red screen for 1 minute, then it all happens again and again. Getting tired of this.
Add me to the list do people having the automatic shutdown issue. The unit is not over heating. I find this irritating and would like the solution...new box?
