Anyone know when we'll be able to order the MLB Extra Innings package?
you most definitely made the wrong move. Verizon doesn't have any of the In Demand packages, because they don't have the rights yet. i've been reading this "coming soon" crap since last May....
I had DirecTV, Vonage and cable internet for MUCH cheaper. Now i'm locked in, paying too much, watching Mets games online, for a year. All so i can watch recorded programs in other rooms, which i rarely do anyway!

Verizon has the rights to NHL Center Ice via inDemand. In fact, you can purchase CI right now.
They also have the rights to MLB Extra Innings.
PR Newswire
EI and CI share the same channels. 1474-1488.
Im getting a little scared.
I just got the service, canned DirecTV and already am giving up YES.
When can we order MLB Extra Innings and what about YES network for us out here in Los Angeles?
I just canceled directv to get this in here. If there is no extra innings Im going to die.
Must have Yankees in HD!!!
Emomina-
MLB EI will be live by the start of the season, but you do know that Extra Innings will only include the Game HD channel, so you will only get 1 or 2 games a day in HD. It will not be like DirecTV where you could HD feeds of almost every game as part of the SuperFan package.
Just want to make sure you understand that.
Seeing as this is a brand new offering, I might be able to live with that.
Hopefully they will increase their HD offerings as time goes on.
But for right now. Let's get some baseball going!!!

You would think that Verizon could put some the fibre bandwidth to good use, by showing all the HD games available on Center Ice, Extra Innings, League Pass, etc.. I would pay extra for it. 🙂
Hear that Verizon, you get NHL Center Ice next season with a "SuperFan" type of package, I will sign up for BOTH!!! 🙂
Now Now!! No nit picking!! We are all on this page for the same reason, that is to make sure We can get MLB E I !!!! in time for Our Favorite Team to open up the 2009 Season. So what ever State Your from, or whatever team You love!!! Lets all sing one song...(Take Me out to the Ballgame)
( LETS GO BASEBALL ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi I am in the Seattle area ...Got MLB HD this am ...noticed that the center speaker on 5.1 has no sound...every other channel works normally...I have the 6400 series hd dvr and fix 1.6.1...any one else have this problem? Will 1.6.2 fix this? like I said every other channel seems fine! Thanks for a reply
Upon further review, it seems the audio is only in stereo (although my receiver is showing 5.1 signal) again this is the only channel doing this...related to first day or 1.6.1?...anyone help, do you have 5.1 or just a stereo signal? Thanks
As we continue to inch closer to opening day still no ability here in New York to order MLB Extra Innings from the Verizon site as the link is dead. Can someone from Verizon please clarify that we are in fact going to be able to order MLB Extra Innings prior to opening day?
Thanks,
Good news, check out from April 6 thru April 12 FiOS customers will get a free preview of MLB Extra Innings add on package. So tune in to the MLB Extra Inning Stations and enjoy! The package is available for the whole season for $199, but FiOS customers ordering before April 12 will get a special rate of $159.

So only ONE game in HD at a time? That sucks....now I regret leaving DirecTV
Yankee-
It's been mentioned many times here there is only ONE HD CHANNEL for MLB EI and NHL CI.
Today, there were 3 actual games on - but they were spread out (1pm, 4pm, 7pm).
You shouldn't act surprised.
Hey Techman,
Seriously, 1 HD channel is very WEAK! Especially for 2009, it's not a new technology here. What are Verizon's plans to bring more HD games to the Extra Innings package?
BaseballFan-
Yell at InDemand, not Verizon. They are the ones that are only providing 1 HD channel.
