Media Manager Does Not Scan All Songs

I have over 4000 songs in WAV format on an external harddrive. The old media manager recognized them all, however the new version seems to find only about 50. Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Have you gone into Tools>Media Manager Settings>Scanning and made sure that WAV is selected?

Yes, I have even tried deselecting all the other options so just wav is selected.
