I received a message over my tv screen to upgrade my cable box. I received the new box, but no clock on the box. Less service
The newer 7100 p2 boxes don't have clocks.
If I had known we would not have switched. All of our family members commented about the clock.
They did this to be more energy efficient.
BTW, this "newer" box is still a few years old.
The newest boxes (which in and of themselves are a couple of years old) have satellite boxes that are smaller but do have clocks.
