Remote volume control issue

When I lower the volume of my Hisence tv with my new Fios One remote , it opens the television's "Picture Mode" function on the screen. The only way to get rid of it is to use the back button on the Hisence remote. I can not get rid of this with the Fios remote. I linked another Fios One remote and it does the same thing. Any suggestions? It still lowers the volume but 1/3 of my screen is covered by the tv's picture mode options.

Have you tried both the Automatic remote programming and the manual remote programming? Sometimes if you do not choose the first working option when using manual programming, the next working one will be correct.

Thank you. Unlike the old remotes, the new ones didn't come with written instructions or codes for the tv's. You simply follow the minimal directions on the screen. There was only one Hisence TV option to pick.

I'll try factory defaulting my television. I haven't made many changes to it ,so I'll just have to add my wifi password again.

As for using an older remote, the only reason I upgraded was for the voice command. If that's not an option, I think I'd just reconnect my old Fios box and return the new one.
