TV Outage in Waldorf, MD?

My FIOS TV service was out from about 6 PM last night until ??? (after I went to bed). I called Verizon and they said there was a "group" outgage and they were working on it. Just curious how big this "group" was. Anyone else have a TV outage last night? I still have an antenna and Internet was still up so it was really just a minor annoyance for me. Hmmm, do I really need to pay big bucks every month for TV?

i am in Waldorf 20603 and my cable (3 boxes) were all dead Monday from 6 pm on. internet was working so I watched netflix, great selection. I have asked Verizon to cancel all of my premium movie service immediately. I pay $175 per month and that is way too much for unreliable service. come on Verizon, you are a phone company, reliability is your middle name!

Sorry to hear of the problems you all had in Waldorf. It turns out that state contractors installing guard rails near the intersection of U.S. 301 and Route 5 cut through major cables Monday morning. Most services were restored by Tuesday.
