Upgraded FIOS Box

The upgrade removed the REMINDER feature and replaced it with DVR options. I dont want to record the darn program to watch it later, I simply want to be reminded that its coming up and to switch the channel to watch it during its broadcasted time.

Please add this feature back to the SETOP BOXES.

This is most annoying, and end up watcing less ...

A quick search would show this has already been requested.

There are plans to bring Quantum up to speed with the same features as the older STBs.

Hopefully this is one that is sooner rather than later.

You say "upgrade". I assume you upgraded from a STB to a DVR. If so then it is unlikely you will get the reminders back.

Sometimes we need time to adjust to a chamge. Probably after the initial shock of the change has passed, you will be happy to use the system the way it currently is. Just give it a try, you will like it.

Original Quantum software had reminders.
And I beleive the model 72XX DVRs still do.

Verizon has stated they will be fielding software updates to the Quantum system to bring it up to what the STBs have in terms of look and functionality.

we didnt request the upgrade. verizon said it was overhauling its boxes.

Reportedly an update to fix this is in testing for quantum boxes. Probably also in the works for the other boxes.

I cancelled Quantum, so many things different from the regular boxes. Hated it.
