WCBS TV Ch 2 Dial Position Change

Why was WCBS moved to Ch. 40/540? None of the other primary channels were. This obviously was not done to improve customer service. Ch 2 should be where ch 2 should be. Verizon owes viewers an explanation. Is this an omen of things to come? That's why I left Comcast years ago because of dumb things like this!

Another channel has the rights under FCC rules to be placed on channel 2, so they had to move it.

As TNS stated, it is because of the FCC "must carry" rules, another channel (Me-tv, that is partially available in the same VHO as WCBS) invoked it's must carry which means it gets the channel 2 slot. WCBS is not using the "must carry" rule because it wants subscriber fees from Verizon. Any channel that invokes the "must carry" can not receive subscriber fees.
