solution is to restart the stb can anyone help

I complained about this to a Verizon tech rep over the phone and he told me Verizon was soon going to be downloading a "patch" to all STBs that he thought might fix this issue. We'll see. This has been going on for a long time and doesn't matter what kind of TV you have. I have a Sony TV and even replaced the STB hoping that would help but it didn't.
