missing channels

I am receiving channel currently unavailable messages for random channels. This has been going on since July 4th. When I call for help I receive a wait time of 3 hours. I've been through all the automated assistance tools with no luck. Other than switch providers; what do I do now?

Have you checked cable connections?
I assume you have rebooted stb?

You have to get a tech out. It could be anything from the ont, the signal to the ont, or cabling in your house. Or even the box itself. But it will likely not correct itself so definitely need to get someone out.
