"Auto-tune" HD Channels

Been a Fios customer for approx. 1 yr. I thought that there was a feature to auto-tune to an HD channel, i.e. tapping 5 on the remote would bring up channel 505.

Perhaps overridden by a recent software update?

Checked the settings menu and didn't see anything.

Perhaps I missed something?

Try:

Settings -> System -> Television -> Auto Tune to HD Channels. 🙂

OK - I checked the setting above and it was on. Still doesn't work. Tuning channel 5 or 7 does not tune the HD channel, as there are black bars above and below what is clearly an SD image.

I even restarted the box, turned the setting off, restarted again and turned the setting on again.

Didn't work. This is something that did work previously up to a few months ago. I don't watch much in that room (other TV is controlled by TiVo w/Cablecard).
