Is it possible to purchase the tennis channel alone, or only as part of a sports package? We do not get it (except I think it is a free preview now during the French Open). When I log into my account, it is only list as an option under the $15/month Sports Package.
Does anyone know how much it is by itself?

You say to call Tennis Channel. Tennis Channel says to call my cable provider. Am I going to have to change providers to get the Tennis Channel. Obviously, no one is moving on this matter.
Verizon should tell us now whether we are going to have access to the Tennis Channel for the Australian Open so that we have time to switch providers. As with the other complaints I've read, my only requirement when the FIOS salesperson showed up at my door and talked my husband into switching from Comcast was that I get the Tennis Channel. I believe I am entitled to a reduction in my monthly bill, especially since Verizon representatives have stated that, contrary to the Tennis Channel's demand that the Tennis Channel be included in the basic package, Verizon needs to keep the Tennis Channel in its premium lineup because it is expensive. As a result, Verizon gets a windfall for breaching it's agreement with customers, since we are still paying for a channel we now do not get. Has anyone been able to negotiate a reduction in their monthly bill?
Also, PLEASE get rid of the separate listings of On Demand movies in the Guide. It's bad enough that so many of the channels are worthless; now Verizon's efforts to make even more money from us require us to flip through dozens more channels.

Almost certainly The Tennis Channel will not be available for the Australian open. After all itsbeen gone for a long time now, starting in the middle of the US Open.
They may eventually reach an agreement, but don't expect anything soon. Those who can't live without it probably have already left. Some who want it may stay the course and eventually see it, Many of the rest of is can live with the limited coverage on other channels.
ESPN2 is carrying most of the Australian Open, either live or on tape delay....if you have a home DVR, you can record it on ESPN2 if during the middle of the night. Is there really so much that is only on the Tennis Channel?

I also enjoyed watching tennis channel while I was with DirecTV, but switched to FIOS Triple play to save money.

Based on my experience, when I watched ESPN vs Tennis Channel coverage of 4 major tennis tournaments, ESPN has much better commetators and overall has better coverage. This is just my opinion...
I am getting sick and tired of sending messages and E-Mails about our dissatisfaction with this tennis channel standoff. SETTLE IT AND GET THE CHANNEL BACK ON OUR SYSTEM. The majors are coming up and I will go elsewhere to get the Tennis channel.

A Verizon customer service person told me on the 3rd of this month that the negotiations with TC had fell through. Tried to confirm that info with others within Verizon but could not. If it is true that negotiations are no longer going on.... Verizon owes it to their customer to be up front and tell us the truth. I am a huge tennis fan and must have the TC one place or the other!
i agree with the post above...why didnt we get an email saying the TC was dropped completely but we got one back in Sept when it was 'temporarily removed"
on another note, was on facebook a while ago and in the side bar where the ads are that you can LIKE...there was an ad for FIOS saying if you are a tennis fan, FIOS is the place to view the best tennis! I had to laugh, even though i wanted to cry too!
The one condition I had for signing us up for FIOS was that Tennis Channel be available. Cutting it off in the middle of the US Open was just wrong. And I have patiently waited for you to get things going. We pay for so many crap shopping channel/religious channel/infomercial channels and the one channel I need (and was misled upon and had to pay extra for) is the one channel I can't find. You should really take stock of the viewpoints expressed here--and not brush us off saying the forum is for users to help users--we are helping one another get what we want. I want Tennis Channel back now. Everyone at my club feels the same. It should be on the basic tier, the same as golf channel.
Please let us know how to access the tennis channel... even at a premium. We were so excited to move to an area that had FIOS and just as it was installed Verizon discontinued the tennis channel. (Right in the middle of the US Open, no less!) We are seriously considering breaking our contract with FIOS and going to Cox or Times Warner if this is not resolved. The Australian Open is coming up and then I think Verizon will start hearing more complaints.

Please, please, please lets see Tennis Channel back on FIOS. With the Australian Open starting, I would rather watch on my HDTV instead of my computer on ESPN3.
I would like updates re. the availability of the Tennis Channel - right now I can't get it at any price. If it is impossible to have it by the end of the month, I will have to change my service provider. I would rather not do that but I only bought the sports pkg. in order to have the Tennis Channel. If I switch to Direct TV, I will be able to have it and watch all rounds of the upcoming Australian Open.
