Please Verizon! If Direct tv has Gol Tv HD... then verizon should have it too! this is very important to soccer fans, just in my office I have 4 friends that did not switch to Fios and stayed with Direct tv because of this. Please, I do not want to leave!
They dont get it. I only use Verizon FIOS for Soccer mainly. I pay over $100 for Extreme HD + Sport package.
Well we dont get any soccer (real football) in HD while DirectTV has it.
I am about to ditch FIOS.
Also... what about BBCAmerica in HD. It is funny (well, not so) to watch BBC America and see them advertising the HD version we can't get on Verizon!!
Verizon telemarketing keep calling me to sell me movie package...from now own I will tell them that what I want is HD soccer channels or stop bothering me with their calls.

I am contacting you from the year 1995 where I am watching your std def Gol TV channel. It is definitly a fun game, due to the poor quality, to try and guess not only which player has the ball but also actually which TEAM has the ball due to the incredibly sh!tty visual quality of your broadcast. Working hard to figure out the difference between Barcelona and Getafe even though they wear completely different color uniforms was a lot of fun. However I hear in the future there is a new concept called high definition which while taking away the fun of above said game, actually allows you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the real game. I think since I am now an expert at the guessing game, I would like to try just sitting back and watching the real game instead now.
Please get your {word filter avoidance} together and give us Gol TV HD immediatly, before yet another full season passes us by. I don't need 800 channels that show me women's college basketball and college football. We don't need 30 variations of the discovery channel either. And I feel like I actually should get a refund for you including non-regional college conference networks in my channel package.

I think it is about time Fios gives us an update as to when we can expect to get Goltv HD. Being left in the dark as too why we don't have it is no longer acceptable. Everybody needs to take the time and start writing old school physical letters to Verizon, it will help.
It is the second quarter 2012 and FIOS still carries GOLTV with the worst quality, worst than regular TV with regular channels in the old time. Why not add GOLTV in HD? Either FIOS is technically incapable of doing that or it doesn't care what the customers want. A direct reply from FIOS would be nice.

That is the EXACT reason why we do not have GOL-HD or BBCA-HD or Cartoon HD, etc. etc. etc.. They are out of QAM space and have been for quite some time. It is frustrating as hell waiting for them to upgrade/modify their techology to free up more space. But until they do they aren't going to be adding any more HD content (without dropping more current channels like FUNimation), though I can think of SIX waste of space channels they could drop rather quickly and I doubt 99.9999999999999999999% of their subscibers would care!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why they still carry those six commercial/infomercial laden garbage .tv channels is beyond me.
Reports have then adding three Mpeg4 channels in the next few weeks. In the case mentioned it is for one of the extra cost mlb and Center Ice channels. But it may mean some more in switches to Mpeg4 sometime in the future. At his point they probably are trying to limit the need to do mass box switchouts of the 6xxx boxes.
Verizon evidently doesn't want to add GolTV in HD, as I see the same question being asked on the internet over the years and Verizon hasn't taken action. The only way for Verizon to take our request seriously is if we masively drop service and switch to a diffrent provider at the same time. If they had thousands of subscribers dropping service, they may bring us the channels we want to pay for. I started a petition online that I will have somebody in Verizon read once we have enough signatures. Please come and sign it. You can find it at http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/verizon-fios-add-goltv-in-hd.html. If you sign it, you have to be prepared to actually drop them if the deadline is met and Verizon hasn't even planned on ading GolTV HD. Thank you!

Not going to happen. Gol tv and other soccer channels are now in danger of being dropped because of the addition of BeIn sports. Verizon now offers both BeIn sports channels in hd and if you have them right now go compare the look of the hd Bein channels to the gol tv sd feeds. There is no contest as to which one not only has the best games but also the best picture. Comcast only offers the BeIn sports channels in sd and when they added it they dropped gol tv. The channel is now seen by many people as being pointless to have so gol tv and a few other soccer channels whose contracts are coming up for renewal are probably not going to get renewed. If gol tv had not dropped the ball and lost the rights to all of those teams who they had deals to carry them on their channel then BeIn would not have become the channel that people are demanding that their tv provider add. It was gol tv who did this to themselves where almost everything that everyone wants to watch is on BeIn sports. Sports bars all advertise a lot of these world cup qualifiers and there are 4 major games that will only be on the BeIn sports channels this friday where if someone does not have the channels they are going to have to pay to get into one of those places to see what a fios customer can see right now on their hd tv.

That's not factually accurate about GolTV. GolTV still has several South American leagues, to include Brazil's, which are very popular and they have the German Bundesliga, which is arguably the best league in the world right now.. Further, they just acquired the Dutch Eredivisie, which is currently rated in the top 5 of the world. They are more than reputable. Fox Soccer is a different matter but you are misinformed about GolTV. Losing La Liga is not the end of the world for a soccer channel as the league offers FC Barcelona and Real Madrid but little else.

It is 2015? **bleep** can't u get goltv HD? I am paying plenty of money for your overpriced sports package. But I would be satisfied if the soccer I wanted was in HD. GOLTV offers it, I feel like I am paying for it, so why is my GOLTV still in SD? Come on and make all the soccer fans hapoy. Stop providing me a sports package that is not quite, bad enough to make me, leave. You good have happy customwrs, not customers that feel used.
