Audio levels between channels

Has anyone noticed audio issues between channels? Some channels are normal audio, but some are so low I have to crank up the volume at least 20 on my soundbar system (Vizio) then when changing channels some will be so loud, I have to turn it back down. This all started about 3 weeks ago or so. I have the newest Fios one boxes and tried all the settings everything. The issues are on all of my TV's but not as bad as they don't have soundbars but it's there. Normal level is about 48 but some channels it has to go to about 70 or so to get normal audio sound.

Yes I get the same issue on all my boxes the other 2 boxes have the same issue but not as pronounced as they don't have a surround system attached but its there. I dont know but if I find the issue or it corrects itself I'll post back and again I appreciate you trying to help me, thanks again.

Ok, so it affects the entire house. That means either there is something wrong with the first splitter in the system, or a problem with the ONT, Router or simply a transmission issue. If it was the splitter, the video is usually impacted. If that is OK, then I'd look more to a possible issue with the transmission. Check with your neighbors and see if any of them are having the same issues on the same channels. If yes, then it is definitely a transmission issue. If not,, it might be an issue with your router or ONT not providing the proper signal.

The FCC has vowed to address this issue but in the mean time, you have to enable whatever compression or volume leveling is available. That is in the Fios box and your TVs and soundbars. Look for compression settings, or loudness control on all your equipment and set them to high, or whatever works for you. For the Fios box go here;

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Audio>Dynamic Range>Heavy

There should be similar settings in your soundbars and TV's.

Thank you for the reply but yes I have tried the compression settings but they did not work on TV, soundbar and box and nothing worked but I noticed last night when tuning to a station the volume was low and gradually went up on its own that was strange. The compression settings on the box didn't work at all.

That's weird. To have the volume slowly change is really unusual. Did you try this too:

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Audio > Audio Passthrough and set it to disable.

You may also have a defective box if the volume creeps up as you said. Does it always do it on the same channels? Do you have any other boxes that do the same thing on the same channels?

Yes tried the passthrough setting you name it I tried it I even updated my hdmi cables but some channels are unaffected by the audio level. I find it weird also that the volume slowly increases to the level set on the channels that are affected with the low volume . I also noticed I use to have the volume set at 48 or so for the desired listening level but now its at 32 . It might be ok now I will have to see when I get home.
