Emergency Alert System Tests are constantly interrupting our programming and VCR tapings. We get a gray screen that causes us to lose anything we were taping and anything we've had on hold. Today this was followed by a ticker in green at the top of the screen that provided the same information, but did not interrupt programming. Can't this ticker be used all the time instead of the ridiculous gray screen? Who decides? Does anyone have info on this?
