Exercise TV On Demand FiOS

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but Exercise TV was taken off of the VOD line up Jan. 1st 2012.  I have no idea why nor have I heard anything from Verizon regarding this change.  I just finished a live chat with a Verizon rep who is not sure if Exercise TV was in fact removed.  I read an article online on New Year's day stating that most cable and satellite companies would be removing Exercise TV from On Demand by the end of 2011.  The article did not specify a reason for this change.  I for one am not pleased at all by this decision.  I really enjoyed the exercise programs and would greatly appreciate Verizon FiOS to reinstate it in their TV line up.  Please let me know if you have heard anything in regards to this matter.  Maybe with enough pull we can get this program back on VOD Smiley Frustrated

I have been trying to find my exercise tv videos for the last two days. I am very disappointed that it has been dropped from on demand- and without warning. Is there a way to reinstate it?

I am so upset about this!! When I realized this morning it was gone I called my mother in RI who also realized the same when she attempted to exercise this morning. I switched to fios for exercise tv and am seriously considering switching now. This is outrageous and I feel it's a punishment for them not getting their $2 payment fee.

Woke up this morning and wanted to work out.  Much to my surpise, they removed it.  They've replaced that channel with Discovery Health & Fit...which is a bunch of crap.  I'm so upset.  I had a feeling that they were going to get rid of it when they stopped changing the videos over the past 2 months.  It seemed like they were all repeated and no "new" ones were popping up.  Nice of Verizon to give you a heads up that it was being taken away.  They let you know when they add/replace channels, but for the VOD they don't say anything.  I wish that they would bring it back.  I liked the convenience and really enjoyed doing my favorites.  So sad...

"In an open letter on its website, ExerciseTV announced on 25 November 2011 that it will be closing its Video OnDemand channel and website on 31 December 2011, although select programming will continue to be available for purchase"

After I realized Exercise TV on Demand was removed today from Verizon I went to the internet and found that letter from November 25, 2011 stating that Exercise TV closed its Video OnDemand channel.

Does anyone know who we can contact at Exercise TV and give our thoughts of disappointment or maybe a website?

Maybe another Exercise network can take its place.  In the winter months and even the hot summer days it was so convenient to be able to exercise indoors.  Especially for safety reasons for those who might exercise alone.

Yup, it's gone!  I found MAG RACK On Demand.  It definitely is not Exercise TV, but they have some Fitness and Yoga stuff.

Yes - I too am very disappointed with the elimination of excercise tv - before switching to verizon several years ago, I checked to see if excercise tv was also offered by verizon.

I just switch to Verizon Fios fromComcast, and the one channel I wanted was Exercise TV, I would have not switch to Verizon if I knew that Verizon was going to take this channel off. They never said a word about it , why would they, they were getting a new customer.  I am very disappointed and upset.  I feel like I am a Comcast Customer all over again, being lied to and I only have had a Verizon customer less than a month, and I am   locked into this company now for 2 years.    I am hoping they will get enough responses from the current Bios customer base , who are dedicated to Exercise TV to get it replaced !!!

Again not Verizon's doing.  Exercise TV closed its doors.

I was disappointed too..I did some digging, it looks like ExerciseTV were the ones that shut down, not Verizon. You can read up on it here : http://www.examiner.com/weight-loss-in-national/exercsetv-on-demand-channel-website-shutting-down

It's gone in Texas too!  By reading other blogs and searching online, it looks like its gone from other states and it all started on the 1st of the year.  Others have called Verizon and their customer serivce don't have an explanation.  I will be calling them tomorrow and requesting to get it back.

I was shocked and in awe on yesterday when i was checking to see what workout I will be doing on the weekend and discovered that there was no Exercise TV!!! I was **bleep** to say the least. This is what I can afford by having it on demand! I can not afford a gym membership right now, but since I am ALREADY paying for the FIOS service, I thought it cool that I had this at my disposal. This service has helped me in my weight management for the past two months to shake up my workouts! And to think that now they have taken something away from the customers who have already been paying for the service SUCKS!! I can't wait til my contract ends. I am switching over to Comcast! Verizon has been giving whack service for the past two years! I am tired of trying to get a customer representative on the line that keeps sending me all over the nation/department and then having the line drop.

Exercise TV is gone from all providers and internet acces.  They, Exercise TV, announced it back in November.

Only limited episodes are available for purchase through Apple iTunes and Amazon.

I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT THE FACT THAT VERIZON NO LONGER OFFER EXCERVISE ON DEMAND.  I AM LOOKING FOR A COMPANY THAT STILL OFFERS THIS FEATURE AS IT IS NUMBER ONE IMPORTANCE TO ME.  I PAY ALOT OF MONEY EACH MONTH TO VERIZON AND IF I NOW HAVE TO PAY TO JOIN A GYM, THAN I WILL HAVE TO CANCEL SERVICES AND REDUCE THE COST OF MY PLAN.    BRING EXERCISE ON DEMAND BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before anybody else makes themselves look foolish by threatening to drop FiOS or some other silly threat, educate yourself on what has happened with Exercise TV. Verizon did NOT DROP it, it went OUT OF BUSINESS.

http://www.examiner.com/weight-loss-in-national/exercsetv-on-demand-channel-website-shutting-down

Quotes from the article:

"ExerciseTV, the popular on-demand channel for workout videos on many cable and satellite networks, announced today that the channel and accompanying website would be shutting down Dec. 31."

"some ExerciseTV workouts will still be available on iTunes and through Amazon"

It's not Verizons fault. Now maybe they'll replace it with something else, I cannot answer that.

I also just discovered Exercise TV is no longer there and am NOT happy about this.  I love Exercise TV.  Was a notice sent out?  Will it be made available again?  I demand my Exercise TV!  (MTV I don't care about unless it returns to videos only)

I just noticed it tonight.  I just got fios TV a few months ago and I am increasingly disapointed. One of the things I did like was the exercise videos on demand. I went to use my favorite one tonight and it was gone.   I can find it on Youtube for FREE, but have to pay Verizon to get NOTHING.

The VOD is really poor.  I have better luck with HULU which is free and doesn't require a 2 year contract.

I doubt if anyone at Verizon if monitors these forums, so I have no idea how to get their attention.
