I received a message over my tv screen to upgrade my cable box. I received the new box, but no clock on the box. Less service
The newer 7100 p2 boxes don't have clocks.
They did this to be more energy efficient.
BTW, this "newer" box is still a few years old.The newest boxes (which in and of themselves are a couple of years old) have satellite boxes that are smaller but do have clocks.
If I had known we would not have switched. All of our family members commented about the clock.
