If you bought a new service package or an upgrade to Fios Home plan, you probably got snookered just as I did.
After trying to log on to Paramount+ with Showtime via my Verizon credentials for a few days, I spent a few hours with Verizon Chat today and yesterday. Turns out that all you get with the Paramount+ with Showtime feature is what you can watch on your TV. I finally got an agent today who said that Verizon just "rebranded" the Paramount+ with Showtime feature, but didn't make true streaming part of the deal. I can see no real advantage to the consumer for this "feature", though it sure sounds good.
Slippery and mysterious, but effective in terms of boosting sales ...

What device are you trying to watch Paramount+ on? Were you able to login to Showtime with no issues?

On my Samsung tv. I have no Showtime app to log into. If I’m paying for it , can’t understand why this is such an issue to watch Paramount+. FIOS support no real help at all either.

Which Fios boxes do you have, and is your TV able to download apps?

I downloaded the app to the tv but asks for login name and password. I never even registered bit it is in extras I’m paying for. I have the dvr main box in the bedroom. Don’t know why this is not working. You would think FIOS would provide info on signing in. Paramount site says no way to sign in through third party provider.

Usually when the app launches it asks which provider you use. You check Verizon, then it will send you a code you have to input to a website for Paramount+ on another device like a tablet or phone. Once that is accepted you shouldn't be prompted on that device again.

I did the same and now this just confirms what I figured. Thank you for the reply. Cheaper to go to Paramount/ Showtime alone- which is what I will do.
Thanks again for your input.

The truth is, when they advertised this change, they advertised, if we had showtime, we would get paramount plus. That was not the case, they changed their mind because it was going to cost them too much. You should complain to the FTC and the FCC as I have. My phone bill literally says I have Paramount+ Showtime, and I don't.

I spoke with 5 different reps in the past 2 days. All of them were confused in their answers, but they finally come up with. No, they just changed names. You don't have the streaming, even though it says you do on your bill. Even though they advertised, if we had showtime, we would have Paramount+ and one representative, told me I could log in through the provider, but Verizon isn't listed as 1 of their providers. I'm assuming they figured out It was going to be too expensive, backed out of it and still have it Looking like that, I complained to the FCC and the FTC and everyone should. They have to be continuously getting these phone calls, because we all know the same thing, and the reps act like they've never heard this before. they're crooked.

You can’t log into and they will try to get you to go to Verizon play + and then you get charged. Good luck

Verizon is a little complicated if you have a streaming service on Fios (cable) and verizon service on your phone. If you have a streaming service on your phone, you can go to the app and sign in on the “home” page (a process, but something like that). If you have service through Fios, you access the streaming service/channel on the “demand” or “live” tab. On the demand tab you watch the show live as scheduled or on demand if you want to watch it later.
So, Verizon phone streaming channels package are set up on the home page and Verizon Fios streaming channels are located live or on demand with no set up necessary.
