Setup Fios TV One Mini over Wifi using 3rd Party Router utilizing G1100 as MoCa Adapter only?

Today I received Fios TV One boxes to replace my older style boxes. I was hoping to continue using my TV's and network the same way I have been which is having my WiFi handled by a 3rd party router with the Fios G1100 connected to Coax and ethernet from my 3rd party router but not actually broadcasting any WiFi itself. This has been fine for the few years I've had it set up this way but my Fios TV One Mini's will not connect via WiFi because it is not connecting directly to the G1100. Is there a way to get this working via WiFi considering I do have a Fios router but I cannot use it as my actual Router due to it not providing adequate covering for my needs.

Resolved the issue utilizing info from various other posts here but to be fair, my title is incorrect with this solution. In my case, following the steps below, I returned to using the G1100 as just a router (no WiFi) while utilizing my 3rd Party Mesh System as my WiFi Access Point for the increased coverage.

1. Due to changes I had made previously, I factory reset my G1100 and connected it as if I was setting up my network for the first time (Including connecting both the Ethernet and Coax cable coming from my ONT to the back of the G1100). I did this by pushing and holding the reset button on the back of the unit until it turned itself off and then back on.

2. Then I setup my 3rd party Mesh System to simply act as an Access Point rather than a router and connected one of the 3rd party Mesh Nodes to the G1100 via Cat 6 cable.

3. Disabled the 2.4 and 5 Ghz Radios on the G1100 so it is simply acting as a router and not broadcasting any WiFi channels. I did this so that there was no interference between the G1100 and my 3rd party Mesh System that would be broadcasting an SSID to connect to. To do this, I had to have a temporary physical ethernet connection to the G1100 to access the Router Login but this can be disconnected once done.

4. Setup the main Fios TV One box in the desired locations and connected it via Coax as required.

5. Setup the Fios TV One Mini box in the desired location. Now in my case, I had already attempted to setup this box when I found out about these issues I was having so I don't know if the next steps will happen the first time you turn on the box or if you have to allow it to try and set itself up first. Either way, the next steps will be the same. Starting with the box off, have the connected TV turned on, then power the box on by either pressing the button on the unit itself or by using the remote control. As soon as you power the box up, quickly press "Ok" two times on the supplied remote. For me, this brought me into a White Screen that said "Diagnostics" on top with 11 different options to select from. This is actually one screen further than needed so simply press to the left (<) on the D-pad of the controller. This brought me back to the "BUI Main Menu" screen. One of the options shown here is "04 Network Configuration". Select this option and it will then bring you to a screen that states "Wireless Network Status". Use the remote controller to select "Settings" at the bottom right of the screen. This will now be the "Wi-Fi Configuration" screen. Again, use the remote controller to navigate to "WiFi Scan" at the bottom right of the screen. This will load the next screen which will show all available WiFi networks in range of the TV Fios One Mini. Then select the WiFi you wish to use, in my case it was the SSID of 3rd party Mesh System since I had disabled the G1100 2.4 and 5 Ghz broadcast earlier. When prompted, enter the password information and you should be all set. Now just exit all the way back out of the Diagnostic Screens. At this point, I reset the box by unplugging it and then plugging it back in and when it booted up it worked without fail. If you had not already attempted to set up the box and you tried this on the first go, then you will have to go through the setup process but hopefully it connects to the network without issue now.

Hope this helps someone else out even if my situation was a bit rare since I had purchased a G1100 originally when I had my internet first set up and I know most people are looking for a solution to this problem since they do not own one of these or wish to return theirs to save on the rental fees.
