Suggest Channels to Add to FiOS TV

Hello All,

I've seen quite a few threads and posts floating around suggesting various channels/programs you would like to see on FiOS TV.  In an effort to consolidate the information, I have decided to create this single thread about the subject.  Feel free to reply to it with your suggestion(s) on what you would like to see on FiOS TV.

Please note:  I make no promises as to whether or not you will see these channels/programs on FiOS TV.  Though I do know that the right people here at Verizon are looking at this thread for your feedback and advice on the matter.

Fox Soccer HD - the games get cut off on the 4:3 picture so sometimes you can't even see the ball in play.

How about we get the Canadian TV stations (CBC and CTV) in the line up in the Buffalo area? I really miss watching Canadian news and it will be the 1st time in my life I will not be able to watch their cover of the Olympics (which always airs live).

I agree about the lack of Canadian channels (ie. CBC and CTV) in the Buffalo, NY area. Time Warner has these on their service. Lack of having these could make it look good to switch to Time Warner in time for the next Olympics.

At this point, the Big East does not have a stand-alone channel. "Big East Network" events are syndicated to regional sports networks, which in your case would be Sportsnet New York. Their website, www.bigeast.tv, talks a lot about their distribution on TV. In any case, Verizon has no control over what Big East games are syndicated where you live. All they can do is carry the ESPN networks, regional networks, and ESPN360, all of which they do.

I did see on other posts that Time Warner carries some games on their sports channel, but I doubt Verizon has access to those.

Fox Soccer has announced that they will begin HD broadcasts on 3/1/2010.  Please add this channel to FIOS!  Thanks for your consideration.

I would like to request CSN+ be added for Howard County Maryland.

Ridiculous that I get Washington local stations and not both Caps and Wizards games.

I need to watch the Caps!

These posts seem to be silly.  Why are we being asked for suggestions when there is never any response from Verizon about taking the suggestions and implementing them.  

It would be nice if someone from VZ would provide an update on when some of these will or will NOT be added to HD.

Agreed , we need Verizon to let us know what will or won't be added on a regular basis.

I also want to see FOX SOCCER PLUS CHANNEL IN HD!

Now that iNDemand has added a 2nd HD channel for MLB Extra Innings/NHL Center Ice packages starting tonight, I'd love to get GAME2HD. 🙂   P.S. Before baseball season starts.... 😉

I also would love GAME HD2/NHL Center Ice HD2.

Incidently, this wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Verizon_FiOS_channels#Channels_1000-1799) indicates that 1001 is now HDPPV and Center Ice HD2 and MLB Extra Innings HD2, but that clearly isn't the case for me as nothing is currently playing on 1001 and the Red Wings v Wild are supposed to be on Game HD2. Maybe being rolled out in some areas already and coming nationwide soon?

I wish not to sound disparaging towards the Portuguese.  

However, I would like to suggest adding some Brazilian channels to their Verizon Fios lineup - particularly the Globo TV International mutiplex.  I am missing all these incredible novelas,

Most importantly Fox Soccer HD and Fox Soccer Plus HD starting March 1.

Also cast my vote for BBC America HD and Canadian channels like CBC and TSN.
