Has anyone here been able to program their Phillips remote with a Vizio TV?
I know you probably have. But have you looked here for possible updated info?

Ellis6:
I had a similar problem with a fios remote (I don't know who makes it) in that the 3 codes you mention didn't work. I was successful with the scan approach. I've just noticed in the back of my manual for the tv set (vizio sv470xvt) there are additional (3 digit) codes liste: 000, 047, 050, 067, 329, 331, 339. My fios remote connected very quickly on the search mode so now I suspect it used the 000 code. I've only just seen these extra numbers & haven't yet tried any of them manually. One annoying thing with my setup is that the mute button (on fios remote) doesn't work on the set, just the vol+ vol-.

Also I should point out that I screwed up several times with the 300 click option. I missed 1 or more of the 'set-up' clicks & wasn't doing what I thought I was. Read the instructions very carefully (at least better then I did!) and make sure the indicator lights flash correctly. In my case that didn't always happen immediately; the remote had to think for a second or more before the confirming light flashes; maybe if you go too fast you won't be executing the procedure correctly?

@ Alan: I did go through the codes pretty quickly! Maybe I'll try again going a bit more slowly. However, one thing I noticed that made me think the 9-2-2 method wasn't working right is that every time I pushed the fast forward button, the STB button would flash. I would think that since I am supposed to be sending a signal to the TV that the TV button would blink.
As for the codes in the Vizio manual, I don't see how a 3 digit code would work on the Verizon remote because it is looking for a 4 digit code. But, I'll try those, too, and see what happens.
Ellis:
A flashing stb button as you cycle thru the codes is exactly what I had when I missed a button press (or got the wrong one). If you do it correctly the tv button will flash. What I think I confused was the left arrow (in my case to be pressed after the 9-2-2 code entry); it should have been the 'continue' top half of the pause/continue button not the right arrow on the wheel.
good luck ... alan

Wow after 3 years of having the 37" TV a code that works. Kudos to you. I passed this info along so maybe verizon can update their list of codes now with it.

Hi Alan,
We have the same problem with our fios remote...the mute doesn't work but everything else does. Did you ever find a new code or get the mute button working with your Vizio?
Thanks
i tried the find route and it worked for me...the first time i tried i messed up by not pressing the Play button. found it very quickly when i got it right.

I have a Vizio 22-VOLF which I absolutely love. I think it is the first 22" LCD to support 1080p. the 0057 code works for mine but the mute button does not work. None of the other codes work for this model TV. Any other options?
Steve
Today, 4/14/09, I bought a Vizio VO22L LCD TV. The 3 codes for the FIOS remote didn't work.
I used the 'find' method. The 2nd entry worked. Except the mute did not work. Did not work with the 0057, either.
But, the 1292 worked. Thanks to those who found the right no.

I replied before, about the remote for a Vizio TV.
I contacted Verizon, they have added 2 more codes for Vizio.
1292 which we already know, works. Also, 0205, it works, too.
But, neither code operates my A/V button, for changing input source.
Cable, DVD, HDMI, etc.
Guess you can't have everything on on control.

New 47 inch Vizio vl470m, none of these codes for input button work- I've tried alot of codes, ready to give up. Please help
Thanks.
After reading through this long thread I've come up with the following:
0057 Turns the TV on/off and the A/V button works as a mute, Change button sets input to AV, but no way to get it back to HDMI.
1292 Turns the TV on/off and Mute works as mute.
0205 Turns the TV on/off and Mute works as mute.
Volumn works on all.
I just did it with my mothers Vizio Tv using the 922 option. It turns the power of with the second one but the mute does not work. If you pass the second one and go to about the 16th one the power turns off and the mute works. Now the Vizo sound bar is a differnt story. I can't find any code that works with that.
Hi Everyone -
I'm trying to get a remote code that works for the 37" Vizion VX37L which does:
Here are the codes that work for Volume and Mute (none work for input):
0057 (mute is input button)
0205
3145
Has anyone been able to find a code that works for input as well? This is very frustrating having to have a second remote around just for the input button. Comcast (with all of their shortcomings) was able to get this right.
Help!
I am trying to get my new 42" Visio to work with the remote. It would appear that 0057 and 1292 are the best codes although neither will work the arrows keys if you bring up the menu. Mute only works with 1292.
For the Vizio SV421XVT, use code 1292 - my mute button is now working perfectly!
For the Philips RC 1445302 remote I show codes 0891, 0912, 1292, 1783 and 3145. The 3145 worked for me. Make sure you are selecting the correct remote control model number for the list of possible codes. (label inside the battery compartment) Good Luck....
The code also works for my VIZIO M320NV TV. Thank you so much for the info.
Yes! Thank you. There are two more codes on that updated list than on the paper Verizon sends to you.

In case you haven't found it, Verizon does have a web page with a chart listing many TV brands and the remote codes for them:
http://www22.verizon.com/ResidentialHelp/FiOSTV/Remote%20Controls/SetUp/QuestionsOne/122830.htm
I have no idea how often Verizon updates the chart, but it definitely has more codes than the remote instruction booklet.
They also have web pages with codes for Home Theater and DVD devices.

And to add more info to this. On the TV, go to
Menu--->help--->In Home Agent
The IHA on the menu has the ability to search a specific tv/vcr/aux brand and get the most up to date codes for those brands.
I have a 37" VIZIO THE MODEL NUMBER IS V0370M I used the old fios remote with 4 buttons across the top ( the newer remote with TV power & STB power across the top didn't work). I called the tech support and went thru all the codes. The last code worked 1292. He also had me enter another code after 977 if I'm not mistaken that code allows both TV and cable box to power on and off at the same time with the power button. I do not remember the process, I was trying 2 different remotes & each had a different process, sorry but call tech support and they will walk you thru it.
Thank you for the code 1292. I used it with my Verizon Fios remote for my new VIZIO M420VT. I like the WEB page provided for support too. Cheers!
Thank GOD for Google. I was using the codes in the help topic but they never worked. Thanks for sharing the 0057 code. It works!!!!!!
For my E422VA the code 424 worked for mute, volume and tv input.
0057 worked for me!!
It worked !!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS !!!
