When I first downloaded the app about 3 weeks ago, I was happy to see I could easily access parental controls. Unfortunately the app was immediately inconsistent. It seemed like every other time I logged into the app and went to account->internet , I would get a different screen and couldn’t access the controls. I would log out, log back in and many times I could access again. I have even uninstalled the app and reinstalled hoping to reset something and nothing seems to work. I couldn’t find rhyme or reason for the difference.
But something has happened and I can no longer access parental controls at all. I log into the app, tap account on the bottom of the screen, tap internet and all I can see are options to test my speed, manage my devices, change my services, etc. I have dug into each extensively and cannot find the parental controls. Please help!
I’m using iPhone 14 Plus running iOS 17.1.2.

- Same issue. I am going back into the old Verizon Fios App to use parent controls at the moment so it’s still enabled.

I have the same issue. And going back to the the old My Fios app will not be a solution as according to Verizon it will no longer be available after 1/24. 😞

No longer an option for HPN? So how do I unlock internet access on devices? Wow, they really launched the new app too soon apparently.

So I spent several days on multiple chats without success.
I was finally able to call and reach a tech support person that actually was knowledgeable and helpful.
To recap, I was in similar situation as many here where I had blocked devices using My FIOS app which got retired. When I was redirect to use My Verizon the replacement app I did not have access to manage Connected Devices thus was unable to unblock the previous blocked devices.
I tried all these suggested solutions previously, none which worked.
Force stop My Verizon, clear storage/cache, uninstall, reinstall.
Sign on via mobile number vs user id
Soft factory reset router (retain user info)
Hard factory reset router
Sent feedback/support ticket via My Verizon app
(The reason factor resetting the router doesn't work is because Home Protection/MacAfee is layered on top of the router on Verizon's network )
The thing that finally worked was working with the tech support agent where she on her end turned off Home Protection. She also found out that the reason why this functionality is no longer available in My Verizon is that the Home Protection functionality is also being retired.
She confirm as with Ericnvd suggested that you can block/unblock individual devices via the router/LAN interface. This is not nearly as convenient as the My FIOS app as it can only be done when you are connected to the same local network.
Hope this information helps someone!

Use #CustomerServiceFail and make sure you @verizon so that this issue can gain momentum because at the moment they don't care.

I spent an hour on the phone with Verizon today and we weren't able to fix the problem. We tried to factory reset my router too and that didn't work. I cannot get into the My Fios app anymore - It takes me right to My Verizon. Anyone have any success yet?

They discontinued My FiOS App... I can't even use the old app.
I no longer have parental controls, but I also disconnected devices that I can't re-engage.
Very impressive Verizon! Not sure how long I will stay with them

In the same situation…have not gotten a call back from Verizon despite requesting help. I rarely had a problem with parental controls in the My Fios app but haven’t gotten it to work on new My Verizon app. No option for parental controls under the Manage Your Home Network Protection page. My son’s computer is essentially bricked because it was on “pause” when the app transition happened.

I found a way to block/unblock devices without the My Verizon App or Fios App.
- Use a web browser
- Connect to https://myfiosgateway.com
- Use the admin login. The administrator password in on the router itsself (it is different from your regular wifi password)
- Once connected go to My Network tab
- You should see all devices, if not listed click on "Show More"
- For each device you can select "Device Options" drop down, you can block or unblock the device.
It must only work if you are connected to your own wifi, it will not work if outside on your cell data network or someone else's wifi (unlike Fios or My Verizon App).
Good luck to you all!!!

As a tech person I don’t think any thought was given to proper implementation. My PS5 was blocked as it had a parental control policy attached. It was working and then could not connect. The only way to make changes is to return to logging into the router and making all the changes there.
