There is a damaged and rat infested verizon utility box on the corner of our community garden property. We’ve tried connecting through the support line to have verizon come and repair it but because we are not verizon customers and do not own the property we cannot get the needed support. A tech rep did come out in March 2023 to inspect it. When they opened the box the smell was horrendous, rat feces fell out and a giant rat nest was exposed but Verizon never came back to clean and repair it. The tech mentioned the box was connected to only two landlines. Truthfully, we want it removed. Between the rats and what the community uses the box for, it’s a huge nuisance. We’ve tried reporting it to the city but it belongs to Verizon and they won’t act on it.
