My daughter in Howell NJ has this damaged telecom pedestal in her front yard which was there when she moved in about a year ago. She does not have a land line phone. There is no indication on it which company owns it. The builders of the community in the 1980's tell me it is an abandoned copper phone wire pedestal that Verizon is responsible for, and that probably no one is using copper anymore in the neighborhood. I have contacted Verizon and Optimum and both told me they are not responsible for it. The builders said if I get a letter from Verizon disclaiming ownership then it can be dug up and disposed of. Please provide direction. Thanks.
