How to remove unused wires from poles behind my house

I have old Verizon  telephone wires in my backyard that are no longer being used.  Verizon removed the wires going to my house several years ago. They run from pole to pole through several backyards.  Does anyone know who else I can contact to get these removed?

On January 16, 2024 I created Ticket #: NYB4031KWQ.

Today January 19th, (PRETTY GOOD VERIZON)  a Verizon  Staff member, probably a Line Man, came with his truck and examined the wires. He agreed that they are not in use and haven't been for years. He said he will report it to his manager, who will send it to engineering , who will send it  a work team and that he can not give me a time frame. Let's see what happens,

Hello, I am sorry you are experiencing issues. I had something similar happen to me. Usually once the first person comes out, there can be a delay for a while and the next step usually isn’t as easy tracked by agents. For me it took my agent some extra steps to get more info. I think the contact timeframe they told me was up to 48hrs for that callback.
