I want to express my dissatisfaction with the recent activities conducted by Verizon workers on my property - Multiple times this week, Verizon workers entered my property to perform fiber installation work without providing any prior notice or seeking permission. When I approached them for clarification, they stated they had the right of way to dig on my lawn. While I understand legal rights of way may exist, I find it deeply concerning and unacceptable that no attempt was made to inform or communicate with me beforehand. Strangers walking onto my lawn without any notice raises serious concerns about safety and privacy.
Additionally, the workers caused damage to my property by parking heavy vehicles on my lawn, which resulted in a broken sprinkler head. This has wasted a significant amount of water and will require time and money to repair. Furthermore, the workers drove on my lawn repeatedly, leaving visible tire marks, which I believe could have been avoided with more careful maneuvering.
I expect Verizon to address this matter promptly by:
- Compensating me for the costs associated with repairing the broken sprinkler head and the damages to my lawn.
- Providing an explanation for why no prior notice was given before accessing my property.
- Taking steps to ensure that workers are more considerate and careful when performing work in residential areas in the future.
