Tech Support Wait times

Called in to Tech Support for my Verizon landline at 1PM today. Got the recording saying wait times were over an hour, and chose the option to get a call back when an agent was available. I got the callback at 4PM today, and have now been on hold for over 45 minutes, listening to music. Why would they call me back just to make me wait on hold again???

I have found using their twitter account very good.

Not quite real time, but they get back to you pretty quickly.

And if you need more interactive support, they can open a chat.

Its the same people that work the phone lines.

I have been on hold for 2 hours and 50 minutes!!!  I have a red light on “fail” on my ont box.  States a tech needs to come and repair line. I have no connection.  TV, internet and phone are all out.  What do I do?????

They did away with Twitter support.
