Utility pole leaning and breaking

I have a utility pole in front of my house that has been leaning for years. It is already being supported externally but has definitely been leaning more recently. On top of this, I see that it is chipping shards of wood as well. I’ve called other companies and my town before but have been told that it is a Verizon owned pole.  Please advise.
