My tenant ordered Fios. There is an 8 foot conduit that ends with a weather head (low voltage only) . Instead of passing the wire 7 feet down the conduit on an available weather head entrance, the installer used a hammer to break the Type LB Conduit Body (90 degree conduit body with skew cover. He ran the wire in from the side, now the conduit is filling with water and bringing water into the home. The water is wicking down the wire into the conduit body.
This was not done on my account install ( I an on the third floor and also have Fios) It was the install for one of the tenant while I was not here. I was over seas with the military.
There conduit is very wide 2" and there should have been no problem just pushing the new wire down the tube.
There were only 3 wires in a 2" conduit. This was totally inappropriate.
This speaks very poorly for VERIZON.
PLEASE NOTE: This was for a tenants service. My personal experience with my installation was the complete opposite. My installer was very professional and courteous.
