To whom it may concern,
I ordered Verizon Fios in September 2013. When I spoke to the representative on the phone he promised me a Visa gift card. He told me when it would get sent out and he even gave me an option as to whether I wanted an Amazon or Visa gift card. This gift card promise was a big factor in my decision to agree to a 2year plan with Verizon. After 90 days I call Verizon to inquire about my gift card to be told by a rude, uncaring lady that I waived the gift card by receiving a $25 discount on my bill. First of all, without the discount the Verizon bill would be over $150, which is way more than I was paying with Optimum for the 3 services (tv, internet, and phone). Also, I was never told I was not eligible for the gift card. On the contrary, I was told I would receive it. I believe I entered into a 2 yr contract with Verizon under false pretenses. I could of stayed with Optimum under a month to month contract. I would like Verizon to review the taped conversation with the representative that promised me to sent me a gift card and reconsider their decision and send me my promised $300 gift card or get me out of this 2yr contract as I was deceived into a contract by way of a $300 gift card scam.
Thank you
