Don't change POP settings!!!

When you do, all the emails from the Verizon server download to each changed device. So we now have 2233 messages to go thru and delete on our PC. Can't wait to update our smart phones. Verizon should have warned us this would happen.

That is only happening because you don't have your client(s) configured to delete mail from the server when deleted from the client/device. Try going to webmail and clearing out the old mail there, if you don't need it.
