I've owned my property since 1973. During that time, Bell Atlantic, who was bought by Verizon, placed a very large line operation box in front of my porch, underneath the ground. In the 1990's, that group collapsed into the box and it was determined by an engineer and attorneys that Bell Atlantic was at fault. This caused over $40,000 damage to our property. This damage was fixed. Fast forward to 2013 when we observed that the same area where the box is located, the ground is settling again, causing sidewalk cracks, sinking of the sidewalks and cracks to my brick home. I need to file a claim with Verizon to have this remedied immediately as this is obviously causing property/home damage and is a liability for people walking on the public sidewalk that is damaged.
