I too am unable to access my Verizon Yahoo emails. I had to change my password and the stupid system is not accepting the new password even though it accepted the change when I created the new password.
My Yahoo account has recently been locked. Yahoo Support is directing me to have Verizon resolve this situation. Can anyone help?
I reset my verizon password a few days ago, and now I cannot get into yahoo mail. I tried to reset the yahoo mail password. It redirects me to the Verizon site to reset password, but again when I use this new password to login on yahoo mail it does not work. I am able to use the password to login into Verizon site but not to yahoo mail.

Hello,
I used to have my Yahoo mail account linked to my Verizon Internet account, but no longer have Verizon. My accounts are still "linked," when I try to sign into Yahoo. Also, it has always shown up as Verizon/Yahoo in my e-mail account ever since the accounts were originally linked. I don't know why the two accounts were never "unlinked." My Yahoo account is now locked, and when I try to sign it, it tells me that I should click a button that says "unlock and change password." Clicking this button takes me directly to the Verizon website. I login using my old username, have changed my Verizon password, and see no way to unlink my account from Yahoo. Yahoo help has told me to contact Verizon, and this is my attempt at getting online help. This site is not user-friendly for my purposes, and would greatly appreciate a solution, so I can access my e-mail that I use for everything.

Hi SupportI'm also locked out of my yahoo email and have tired to reset my password. I can not access with the new password I reset through verizon or my old password. It does not recognize the new password and keeps looping me back to Verizon for unlocking and changing password again.
This started because I was trying to remove an alias account which I did not set up and do not recognize. It would not let me delete the account and I think my account is being hacked. Please help as I need to access my email account.Thank you for your assistance.

Same issue:
Can login/redirected in to mail.yahoo.com through webmail.verizon.net but not directly from mail.yahoo.com website.
I've been accessing my email through the Verizon.webmail site, but today that one said it was no longer available and sent me to the Yahoo page. While my password works for Verizon (it allowed me to login to this forum a few minutes ago) it doesn't work on Yahoo and, when I say that I "forgot my password", hoping it would allow me to reset, it refuses to recognize my email address and zip code. Please help! That's been my email address for over 10 years and I need my older emails, contacts, etc.!
I TOO am unable to log into my E-Mail. Time to goto Cable internet?

I too have not been able to access my verizon yahoo email account. When I reset my verizon password it is not recognized by Yahoo
I can not access my verizon yahoo email either. It started after I changed my password on the verizon website.
Try resetting password to something completely new and ONLY with letters/numbers (no special characters). That did the trick for me!

verizonmojo,
The PW change you refered to was for your "My Verizon" logon ....? And that PW change allowed you to access your Verizon-Yahoo mail box..?
Thanks..
Correct -- I was having the same issue as many here. I could log in to Verizon.com but could not access email at Yahoo (which always worked before). This all started when I change my password a week+ ago. Even though Verizon allows special characters, Yahoo doesn't (or there's a temp issue with them).
So once I re-changed my password to ONLY letters/numbers, I've been able to login on both Yahoo and Verizon with the same pw.
Thank you verizonmojo! I changed my password to only letters and numbers and I can now see my emails.
Apparently everybody is happy with the fix of removing special characters from your password. Do you realize that that weakens your password, for a primary email account, with a carrier that has recently had a massive security breach? Verizon should not have removed its "check email" service until it had resolved this problem with Yahoo--which Verizon now owns.
I have not been able to access my email now for days, and the only way I can do so is to essentially open it up to hackers.
This is what you get when your country does nothing to break up monopolies.
My wife is my sub account and for months she can't read any emails from her yahoo account and she can't even open up her yahoo email account
Same with me i can't read any of my emails
Same problem here. Changed my password right before Thanksgiving and it must have triggered some kind of conflict, because email no longer came into Outlook and I could not log on through Verizon Yahoo site. For a while I could log on through Verizon.com IF I used Chrome, but the link to email on that sight was removed in mid-December and now I cannot access email by any method. The Yahoo site does not recognize the password.
We have another verizon/yahoo email account for which we did not change the password, and that works fine.
What's up? If Verizon is getting out of the email business, it needs to look out for its customers better.

I've been trying to login to Verizon email through Yahoo (@verizon.net) for three weeks now and cannot get in. I've called numerous times and there is no work around. Verizon left their customers hanging by switching their email service over to AOL. Whatever you do, don't forget your password for your Yahoo email or the password reset option will not work. It will simply reset your Verizon password, but not Yahoo.
I was able to get into the system a few weeks back by clicking on My Email on the Verizon home page, but that link was removed three weeks ago. Now I have client emails that I can't access and pay $200/month to a tech company (Verizon) that can't resolve it's own issues. Pathetic!

Are you still having problems accessing your e-mail? I've had my case open since 12/18/17 and it's still not resolved.
Yes, I'm still having problems. The only thing they told me was to use a password w/out special characters. However, I never get the chance to enter my password on the yahoo site. After I enter my e-mail it directs me to the verizon page.
This is ridiculous! The 1st person that posted this issue on this thread posted it on 10/25/17! And still no solution?! I am having the same issue along with countless others (google it!) Over 2 months and still waiting?! I had a Verizon rep trying to get me to pay $99.99 to bump this up to "tech support" and she said it was estimated that it would take 60-90 minutes to correct the issue! WHY should I or others have to pay Verizon to fix THEIR issue?! The problem is not with user computers or equipment! This issue lies squarely on Verizon's website and software! I can't even verify my new email address with them for communication, it either doesn't process or I get an error message.

Over on Reddit I notice that this same bug has been affecting some Yahoo Fantasy Football users.
Any business journalists? I think there's an interesting story of oligarchic abuse of power here. For example, note this intriguing post over in the Yahoo Forums:
@sperringm
@Allison_77
Even though Yahoo manages the email, the account itself is owned by Verizon. Due to contractual agreements, we're unable to provide support for these issues. If you contact Verizon, have them escalate the issue to our team here and we'll be able to help. You may need to speak with a supervisor here to ensure this happens.
I don't know why the two accounts were never "unlinked." Clicking this button takes me directly to the Verizon website.
Now I am lucked out for last 10 days to resolve the issue and I am not able access my 15 year old yahoo account , because 8 years back I made a stupid mistake to link my yahoo account with verizon.net account
I login using my old username, have changed my Verizon password, and see no way to unlink my account from Yahoo. Yahoo help has told me to contact Verizon, and this is my attempt at getting online help. I agree, this is very frustrating. I was able to finally access email when I changed the password on Verizon.net (not Verizon/Yahoo) to have no special characters.
I had trouble signing into Verizon/Yahoo mail last weekend. I followed the steps to change my password. I received a half dozen messages that I had changed the password. The password will not get me into Verizon/Yahoo mail account today. When I try to find out why through Yahoo, I am redirected to Verizon and information that they do not support email. Verizon says ask Yahoo. Yahoo sends me to Verizon. The operator at Verizon told me to find the Yahoo phone number. **bleep**?
This problem has been going on for me since 12/15/17 and the only response I keep getting is Yahoo is working on this, over and over and over again. I can't believe this is something that can't be fixed by now.
When this e-mail access problem initially happened I couldn't get my Amtrak e-ticket for my trip from NY to Philadelphia which was e-mailed to my Verizon / Yahoo e-mail account. I almost missed the train because of this and if I did, I would have needed to wait until the following day to get the next train. Fortunately an Amtrak customer service agent was able to help me in time.
Good luck with ANYONE at Verizon giving you help. I have been waiting since DECEMBER 2017 FOR THEM TO FIX THIS!!!! All they EVER do is say it's been escalated to a Verizon agent and they give no viable SOLUTIONS!! I had the agent I spoke to wanting me to PAY THEM $99 to boot this up to tech support to fix this when THE ISSUE ON THEIR END WITH THEIR SOFTWARE!!! I want NOTHING EVER to do with Verizon EVER AGAIN!! I had my Yahoo email account FOR YEARS ever since I first owned a Windows 95 computer!! I have lost all my valuable emails and information thanks to the incompetant Verizon and Yahoo staff which doesn't give a crap and has apparently no knowledge how to fix THEIR PROBLEM!!! I have contacted Yahoo also and they just refer me to Verizon and I've had Verizson refer me to Yahoo (which they now own by the way.) Google this issue and you will find there are THOUSANDS of people with the same problem dating back YEARS ago and still NO SOLUTION!! VERIZON & YAHOO ARE COMPLETELY USELESS!!!
i cant sign into yahoo redirects me too verizon.com
I have a new phone and can’t get my email set up for my yahoo mail and it’s very frustrating.
It normally is very straight foward.
See https://help.yahoo.com/kb/verizon/SLN4724.html
I haven't been able to access my Verizon/Yahoo email on my computer for months now. I have tried many times and constantly get redirected to the Verizon.com website log in. I also had an alias for my Verizon.net email and it has been shut down (you get an undeliverable email address reply). Luckily my primary email remains logged into the account on my iphone's mail app so I am able to get emails on my primary account (the alias doesn't work at all, not sure what I may not be receiving there). I have called Verizon who acknowledged Yahoo is having a problem but they couldn't do anything to resolve it. I contacted Yahoo and they refered me to Verizon. I'm very frustrated and wished that Verizon and Yahoo could get together to fix this problem.
I was unable to access my Yahoo Verizon email. At the urging of the Verizon Representatives I spoke with, I reset my verizon password a few days ago, and now I cannot get into yahoo mail. I tried to reset the yahoo mail password. It redirects me to the Verizon site to reset password, but again when I use this new password to login on yahoo mail it does not work. I am able to use the password to login into Verizon site but not to yahoo mail. Help....

Be careful with selecting a password with special characters. I haven't looked them up put apparently the password rules for Yahoo and Verizon are different and so you need to obey both sets of rules when selecting a password.

I learned that my email is linked to an account managed by Verizon. I am locked out because of not remembering my password. Due to contractual agreements, Yahoo is not able to assist directly with resetting my password. Can you help unlink this account so I can get the password problem squared away with Yahoo please? Many thanks.

I too can't login into my verizon.net account. Says password is incorrect. Can't change it though. Get sent in useless loops.
Hi martbart90,
If your current password contains any special characters, login to Verizon.com, click on where it says HI and your name to go into the Profile for the Verizon.com website. Go down to Security then Change Password and change the Verizon Password from a Password that DOES use a Special Character to one that DOES NOT… Then log out and back in confirm that the password change has worked and then go to the Verizon.yahoo.com website and login.
I am unable to access my Verizon yahoo email
This change is still a probleml for me since Verizon dropped the email service. Now I'm asked to pay. Why? this should have beeb an easy tranfer. I am unable to get my email messages for the past two months. Any solutions without paying? thanks
My old laptop crashed - am unable to access my Verizon Yahoo emails
