Modifying Verizon.net email for Outlook 2007

After following the instrucitons for modifying the settings at my account for Outlook 2007 I can no longer send or receive emails at that account. I followed the instructions as they were sent and am now email-less. Can someonw help, please?

Are these the settings you are using? and is SSL enabled?
Incoming mail (POP3): pop.verizon.net
Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net
Server Port numbers:
Incoming mail (POP3): 995
Outgoing mail (SMTP): 465
and is this the procedure you are using with the above settings?
