I have a Verizon.net account, when replying or forwarding email my last name shows twice next to my email address, here is an example:
Are you using Verizon's Webmail or a pop3 client (Outlook Express, Mac Mail, etc) to send and receive mail?
need to put my first name on my email{edited for privacy} to acsasion my acct.and for computer to remenber.was taken off by verizon to fix some problem
Your email profile in Webmail should be totally under your control. Go through settings or try jumping to

And all the client software its again something you put in. Each one varies
