Have working Webmail and Outlook is able to send. I have 2 test messages and one email that is from 2:38 CST. Nothing in between about 4:15 am and 2:38 CST.

Still not working in Nassau county, NY. I was able to send a test email to myself but still cannot receive emails via Outlook (the log in box keeps popping up and will not go away). I'm assuming POP3 server is still messed up? *sigh* 😞
Edit: Okay, well it finally was able to check for new messages but said I had none. And I know this is wrong because I get notifications from several websites and I am expecting some. Where did they go? Don't tell me they were eaten. I didn't even receive the test email I just sent to myself. I hope everything is just backlogged and we'll receive them all later. *crosses fingers*

Seems I am recieving an error code of 3002. I have noticed other post I find this an inconvience and a concern if hackers were able to get through a big company as Verizon.

For those saying they'll go to gmail instead, remember it also went down for around 24 hours not so long ago. All email systems I know depend on a server of some kind at some point in their journey. Servers crash.
Accusing Verizon of not having backups is misplaced. Of course they have backups of data - the problem is the email app process itself going bad.

no longer get the errors on logging in - but everything is gone. All folders. Can now re-add the account on my mobile email and it takes, but all empty there too.

I just got access to my email page ,but all emails (sent, inbox, saved emails ) are gone. In fact it's like I'm starting all over as it says "No Folders". Is there any way I can get my emails back?

It is now 4:23 PM Eastern time. My email has been down ALL DAY. I am currently able to log in sporadically--I still sometimes get the now all-too-familiar 3002 error but occasionally I get the "normal" but depressingly emty email screen. I have no historical data whatsoever. I sent myself a test message from a freebie email account and I don't see that in my inbox. This is not a good omen; I had quite a bit of historical mail.
I happen to do email for a living, and all-day outages and apparent loss of data just DO NOT happen. Even when we run disaster recovery tests we have basic function back in an hour along with an EMAIL EXPLAINING WHAT'S GOING ON and the expected timeline for historical data restores.

I'm in Fredericksburg, VA and it has been down all day. Has Verizon provided any explanation on the outage or an estimate for time to recover?

I'm thrilled! the first of the month and ALL my credit card bills, utility bills, bank statements and other important emails from other creditors and tenants covering all the rentals I own appear to be lost.
Thanks Verizon.

Re. the empty folders (mine, too) ...
The empty folders shouldn't mean that incoming mail (into Verizon's servers) during the outage was lost. Incoming mail should have been refused by Verizon's servers and stored for retry-transmission sender-side. (Internet mail is a humongous store-and-forward contraption.) It often takes many hours for the retransmissions to trickle in. End-to-end, the result should be mail that's delayed, but not dropped.
Restoring messages received before the outage will be about Verizon's backup procedures, a separate issue.

finally able to log into e-mail.
However, only have e-mail in my inbox that was received after 2:51 PM today. None of the folders on my account exist, nor does the sent folder contain any e-mail that was previously sent. e-mail or any e-mail that was in my inbox - COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

I have only heard (via phone automated message) that they're aware of an email problem and are working to restore it.
Hearsay in this thread has said customer service has given a 24-48h estimate.
No Verizon employee has posted in this thread with explanation, description, or ETR.
At least one Verizon tagged person (Heather_VZ) has posted in this thread that it is being investigated (and may have said it was being worked on). Message 79. I have not seen a posting from an official associated with the company since page 8, but might have missed one.

Email is back up in Newton, MA, but only one message is in the queue. It may take time to restore.
I have sent test messages to my verizon account and they did not bounce, so I'm hopeful.
