Why can't I phone the phone company?

A truck tore down a phone wire by my house an old copper wire. But it needs to be removed.

I've been trying to contact Verizon for over 2 hours about this. Apparently there is no easy way to get the phone company on the phone.

Chat doesn't work. there's no repair or service number listed. The call back doesn't work. And I've been on hold forever.

Could you get some phones installed.

Verizons customer service sucks.
