Wires Moved/Removed

I'm am trying to get Verizon to move wires that run across my back deck. I only need the wires to be moved up about 18" to accommodate a roof we're trying to add onto our back deck. Verizon sent out a technician who said he could not help with the request. He told me to contact Verizon Construction, but that seems to be an unrelated department. I'd like to get this taken care of ASAP. Does anyone have any advice on who to contact and how to get this done?
