Is this the e-mail address tied to the master account for the Verizon service? If it is you'll need to contact Tech Support I believe to have that done most likely. Otherwise, if it is a sub-account you can delete the sub-account and make another one under a different name.
If you're having spam issues with the e-mail addresses, changing the address is temporary as generally the robots that be will find the new address as being active. Spam can be managed!
If it is your primary user name, it can not be deleted. If it's a sub-account you can go to Account Profile and delete it and make a new one.
