Hello,
I'm trying to setup my Panasonic BL-C1A network camera to send out emails (when triggered).
The Verizon recommeded setup procedure says to check the SSL for authentication but my camera setup does not have that option. I have filled in the other SMTP inf (smtp.verizon.net for outgoing server, 465 for port number and login info).
The camera gives me 3 options (and I have tried each with no success) for SMTP authentication which are:
1. no authentication
2. POP before SMTP authentication. Authenticate on receiving email server when sending email: Where i have filled in the POP3 (pop.verizon.net), port number set to 995 and my login info. Again no option to check SSL.
3. SMTP authentication: Where I have filled in login info (no other options).
Thanks,
Son

I looked at the manual here: http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/BL-C1A?t=manuals&support#tabs , since there is no SSL option do you have an FTP site you can use as a workaround?
There is also a suggestion here http://superuser.com/questions/45086/email-service-without-ssl-authentication
Last option I found was this http://www.dyncommunity.com/questions/19327/smtp-without-ssl-smtp-setup.html
