verizon yahoo email problems

Is anyone else having a problem opening up their email aaccount with verizon yahoo? all i keep getting is this message?

Yes. I have been getting the same message for about 45 minutes.

Also, I have cleared my cookies, but it does not help. Could their server be down?? Or can others open the email in Outlook Express? Or some other program/

I have been having problems as well for about the past hour.  same message you are seeing.  cannot open email on their server.  not having internet problems though; just email.  will try again in the a.m.

I have the same problem as well.  It is on one sub-account.  There seems to be no solution yet.  I'm relieved I'm not the only one, because it means that it is some kind of issue outside my own equipment.

I'm having problems sending email.  Outgoing mail just sits in outbox and receive error message.  Any fixes?

I had the same issues.  I changed computers and tried to get POP email working in Outlook 2011 on my MAC.  Nothing I did worked so I called support (and with Verizon that term must be used very loosely).  They had no clue what was going on and of course blamed my browser and cache as the problem (because that is all they can understand).

After two very frustrasting phone support events getting my locked account unlocked (because the online password reset only works with IE) I finally figured out that the issue was caused by my use of the Verizon/Yahoo connection.  The POP email for incoming.yahoo.verizon.com actually goes through different servers and the password reset by Verizon support leaves a mismatch with the Yahoo account.  Once I unlinked my VZ account ftom the Yahoo interface all worked perfectly.

How do you unlink verizon yahoo mail from Yahoo? I have been having loading issues for 2 days now and its affecting my livlihood!

I've been having ptoblems for a while now, off and on. I get the same message.  Lately the error message is #5.  I have to sit and wait for 3 to 5 minutes for the inbox, or sent, or spam to open.  The same with many of my folders.  I NEVER had this problem with the old email service.  This is more tan frustrating.

All of a sudden, my verizon.yahoo email account fails to display any inbox emails since Feb. 9, 2012.  I was looking at some

of them earlier today, but now they are no longer there, nor do they appear in trash.  I cannot even figure out how to contact

I keep getting an error notice of either 14 or 16 and cannot get my emails.  There does not seem to be any way to fix it or contact support for help .  Any solutions please?!

I have not been able to get on my email account for at least 3 hours.  I contacted them and they said they are aware of it and 'working' on it.  It's been a HUGE problem for me and I have no idea how long it's going to take them to resolve it.  😞
