Can you explain the working principal behind this setting? It does not make sense to me. I believe Chromecast uses some sort of IGMP multicast, which should be only handled by a layer 3 managed switch.
No idea but it worked and still works for me. Disabling broadcast on 2.4 GHz does however render SimpliSafe cameras useless.
