Just spent an hour and 12 minutes on the phone with Verizon technical specialist as my phone has no service in Italy. After attempts at troubleshooting was advised that there is an issue with all international roaming on Verizon at this time. Can anyone confirm whether this is accurate.

Verizon was aware of an international third-party communications provider having issues with voice and data connections with U.S. based customers traveling overseas at the end of June. The issues have been fixed and impacted customers have received notifications from Verizon.
If you have an issue like this while traveling, we recommend using Wi-Fi when available. If you had previously activated Wi-Fi Calling back in the United States, that feature can be used as well in the meantime: https://www.verizon.com/support/wifi-calling-faqs/.
We appreciate your patience and understanding, and thank you for using Community Forums to lift your feedback and experience.

Hi there! I recently moved to London and upgraded my plan to include international. However, I have no cellular service anywhere and I'm unable to authenticate my login to troubleshoot because I'm not receiving any SMS texts. Would appreciate any help on how to sign in (possibly with email?) recognizing that I can't make any calls unless using WhatsApp. Thanks!

Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us on this platform. Is your service with us postpaid or prepaid? What model is your device and is the software up to date?

Hi Maria - Thank you for this comment! My phone is a prepaid service. All software is updated (iOS 17.5.1) and the model of my phone is iPhone 11. It was working perfectly until around 12pm CST yesterday (June 26). I am currently in London, UK and have been to multilpe parts of the city to see if it was just my reception, but it still says No Service. I turned on/off multiple times, I played around with the Automatic vs selecting a local provider, and nothing seems to work. My data roaming is on. Thank you!

Hi! I was wondering if this was some type of global outage, or if the partnerships Verizon had in the UK were experiencing trouble. Are you experiencing the same in UK or EU?

Lost in a bad section of town but was able to leech Wi-Fi for this commutation. When is the estimated time for the International Plan to be reactivated?

Same thing is happening to me in UK. No Service starting June 26, around 12pm CST. I'll comment again here if I hear back on my post regarding any updates.

We arrived at our destination on the 26th. Spotty service then no service now it seems only one of us has service at a time. Really hope it’s able to get fixed when we have to be away from WiFi in a couple of days. It’s very hard to navigate in a foreign country without a phone.

Just make sure you refund all customers with only partial days used 😒
Ireland roaming hasn’t been available for 1.5 days now.

Hard to believe a big company like this can’t fix the problem. I wonder if they’ve been hacked and held for ransom. No news in any newspaper on this. Bet that it’s not being reported on until it’s resolved.

Some customers traveling internationally are experiencing service issues. Phone calls and data sessions are successfully completing about 70 percent of the time. Our teams are actively working with our roaming provider to resolve the issue. We appreciate your patience.
