NEED HELP TO ACTIVATE AND UNLOCK PHONE FROM AUSTRALIA

tech support experience I have ever had. I bought a TCL flip pro from Amazon (US, I believe). I am from Australia. Upon receiving the phone and trying to set it up, it dosn't get past the 'activating phone' screen. It just sits there. I have called several numbers over the past few hours, clicked several links either to not be helpful or to result in some weird error. Each operator either could not provide support, or, forwarded me to the activation number, only for me to then answer several prompts from an AI just for it to then say they are closed. Several times it did this upon multiple different operators and prompts answered. There is a verizon sim that was included in the phone when I bought it but I'm presuming it won't work, as I am in Australia. Online somewhere, it said I had to get the phone activated in the US for it to work, how am I possibly able to do this? I just simply want to activate the phone and unlock it so I can use it with local providers here in Australia. Can someone please help me because, my god...

Hello DempseyRX, and thank you for reaching out. I am sorry for the difficulty you've been having getting the TCL Flip Pro unlocked. Since the device was purchased through a third party reseller, such as Amazon, you will need to contact the seller directly for support as we are unable to unlock devices that have not been purchased from Verizon. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.  -Sara

Hi, Amazon has pretty good customer service.  You will need to contact Amazon about getting a refund for the phone, because there is no way to unlock it.  If a seller claimed it was unlocked, I'd report that to them and possibly Amazon directly too because the phone is obviously locked to Verizon.

Per Verizon's device unlocking policy in the link below, devices must be used on Verizon's network for 60 days and then they will automatically unlock.  However, devices purchased elsewhere can be problematic where they never unlock for some reason.
